Luciano has performed in various opera houses including the Royal Opera Covent Garden, Glyndebourne, Theater an der Wien, Opera de Genève, Oper Frankfurt, Hamburg Staatsoper, Sydney Opera House and New National Theatre Tokyo. His repertoire is based on Italian Belcanto including Rossini, Donizetti and Bellini but he also sings Mozart including his recent appearance in Theatro Municipal de São Paulo as Tamino and at Gothenburg Opera as Idamante. He also obtained great success singing the title role at Gluck’s Orphée et Euridice and Elvino La Sonnamula at Stuttgart Staatsoper.
The tenor completed a singing Degree at UNI-Rio before taking a Master Degree and Opera Course at Guildhall School of Music. He represented Brazil at the BBC Cardiff Singers of the world and was a finalist at Francisco Viñas competition besides being nominated at Opera Now Magazine as one of the 10 favourite tenors from a generation of rising stars.
His discography includes the DVD of La Sonnambula, a recital CD called “Songs of Brazil and Argentina” besides the Opera Rara CD of Linda di Chamounix. He also recorded a movie edition of the contemporary Opera Liquid Voices by Jocy de Oliveira that won prizes in London and Nice 2019 Movie Festivals.
Other recent performed roles include Leicester Elisabetta Regina d'Inghilterra; Guglielmo Viva la Mamma; Rinuccio Gianni Schicchi; Ghino Pia de Tolomei; Duca Rigoletto and Narciso Il Turco in Italia.
